II. Students analysis
The students of Grade7 are very active and curious. They want to perform themselves. So I use the vivid and various forms of teaching methods to make students take an active participation in learning and stimulate students' learning interest.
III. Teaching material analysis
By learning this section can help students learn to talk about the weekdays, subjects and the timetable.
IV. Teaching Objectives
Knowledge objective
New words:Wednesday,Monday,Tuesday,Thursday,Friday,physics,
geography,P.E.,art,history,math,science,meeting.
Phrases: have a/an...class, on Wednesday/...
Sentences:1.--What day is it today?
--It’s Wednesday.
2.--What class are they having?
--They are having a music class.
3.--What time is the class over?
--At twenty to eleven.
4.--What time does the next class begin?
--At ten fifty.
Ability objective
Let the students understand and talk about the weekdays ,subjects. Master the expressions of asking weekdays, subjects and time.
Emotion objective
Let students love their school life and realize importance of school life. Make them love study and study hard.
V. Teaching main and difficult points
Teaching Main Points:
Master the new words , phrases and key sentence patterns.
Teaching Difficult Points:
Distinguish the present simple and present continuous.
VI. Teaching Methods
Though listening training,playing games,presentation of sentence patterns,group work,pair work,individual work,the whole class work and other practical forms to practice the key points in this section.
VII. Teaching Procedures:
Step1.
Leading-in with weekdays song
By guessing game to introduce Michael and his three mysterious friends—Mr.Blue book,Mr.Yellow book,Mr.Brown book.Show the weekdays song to students.
Step2.
Learn to use new words and the expression of asking days.
Show and practice the new words about weekdays. Tell something about cultural difference between our country and western countries.
Do pair work to practice the key sentence,and choose several pairs to perform their dialogues.
Step3.
Learn to use new words about subjects , the expressions of asking subjects and time.
Show and practice the new words on the timetable of Michael. Practice the key sentences according to the timetable.
Step4.
Group work to design a timetable
Show the design task and choose some groups to introduce their timetables.
Step5.Listeningexercise
Show two pictures of 1a,and though the questions to leading-in 1b.
Step6.Read and summarize the text
Play the video, let students read the text in roles for some times.
Step7.Make up conversations with the key sentences.
Show the pictures to students.Let them make up new conversations according to 1a.Then choose several pairs to perform their conversations.
Step8.Touching game
Show the rules of the game and choose students to do game.
Step9.Emotional education
Though pictures to introduce the students’ interesting shool life. Make students love and cherish their school life. Try to study hard.
Step10.Review and assignment
Though knowledge tree to do review. Then assign homework.

To make students’ school life more interesting and encourage students to communicate in English more.
